Great Expectations

Priorities, priorities, priorities.

I intended to write about an amazing company this week - Notion. I love them. I love their product, their strategy, how they are and will probably use AI.

But, priorities made it impossible this week.

I’m a solopreneur. I work by myself, on purpose. We moved to Okinawa, Japan a few years ago for my wife’s role as an officer in the US Navy. We have 6 kids, 10 and under. When she goes away on short-term deployments, like she did this week, I run the ship by myself.

Our kids are the deepest, greatest joys of our lives. Each one is irreplaceable, unique and has made my heart grow in a way I could not have imagined.

They’re also exhausting, need to be picked up a lot and make tons of laundry.

So this week my work hours were cut short 🙂.

Next week I’ll be back with a growth story about Notion!

Hope you have an excellent weekend!

-Nate
